Is an ez bar ok to use in Olympic lifting?

Postby Sabrina » Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:10 am

Hi, I bought my first barbell to use in the lift dvd Olympic lifting workout, I didn't realise it was an ez bar, is this ok to use for this workout? I did do the workout with some dumbells and enjoyed it. I also did try it with me ez bar and really kept an eye on my form as I didn't know whether I should be using the ez bar- I was dripping in sweat by the end of it! my only issue was my wrists did hurt a little bit but I don't know if that was from just the weight I was holding or am I using the wrong bar? ( I am new to barbells) I was using 30lb including the bar. Thanks for any info ☺

I replied to you on this in another area but wanted to make sure I followed up. There only lifts that you could use the easy bar: Deadlift squats and Hi Pull. Other than that use DBs...the easy curl bar does put your wrists in an odd position so transferring it to your shoulders or overhead isn't a good idea.
